Travelogue exhibition to open at Gallery One June 3

Travelogue is the theme for Gallery One’s exhibit opening Wednesday, June 3, at 32 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View. The artists invite the public to embark on a visual journey, with a compelling new exhibit that explores the essence of travel – not just across geography but through memory, atmosphere and personal experience.

The artists invite the public to embark on a visual journey, with a compelling new exhibit that explores the essence of travel – not just across geography but through memory, atmosphere and personal experience. Europe is well represented, with six artists choosing to paint memories of their trips there. Laura Hickman chose Marbella, Spain as she depicts colorful fishing boats that appear as colorful as a work of art, in her pastel, “Fishing Boats, Marbella.” Jill Glassman also did a pastel, “The Hills Are O’live,” but of the hills in Umbria, Italy, with the olive trees, gnarled and twisted with age.
