His sister, known only as Ana, 45, said her brother was once a cheerful draughtsman who loved buying chocolates for his family, but became withdrawn after the breakup and was later diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2005. Since then, his behaviour reportedly changed drastically, from becoming quiet to wandering the streets at night, asking strangers for money and requiring constant supervision to ensure he takes his medication, Harian Metro reported.
