Federal health officials are warning consumers to check their homes for recalled moringa capsules after an increase in the number of people hospitalized in a Salmonella outbreak linked to Mogo brand products. The CDC has issued alerts for two separate Salmonella outbreaks linked to moringa leaf products. Moringa is a plant whose leaves are commonly sold in powdered or capsule form as a dietary supplement. As of May, 18 people were reported sick across 14 states with the same Salmonella strain, according to the CDC. Seven people have been hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported.
