Extremely rare machines made in Ipswich were among those gathered at a farm in Suffolk for an annual event. Crowds gathered in bright sunshine for this year's Woolpit Steam rally - which brought together a collection of 52 vintage Ransomes machines made in the county from 1850 to 1960.

They joined a host of extraordinary steam and combustion engines from throughout the UK. Vintage machinery collectors came from as far as Yorkshire to display their treasured ploughs, military vehicles and engines at the show held at Warren Farm, Wetherden, near Stowmarket, this weekend.
