The UT Administration has recommended the fragmentation of industrial plots in the proposed amendments to the Chandigarh Master Plan-2031. The Administration on Friday issued an addendum to the proposed amendments concerning the fragmentation of industrial plots in Industrial Area Phase-I and II as part of the ongoing deregulation exercise aimed at promoting optimum use of industrial land. The addendum, approved by the Administrator, is to be read in continuation of the proposed amendments already notified on May 22. It has been proposed to permit the fragmentation of larger industrial plots into smaller plots, subject to approval of revised planning and zoning, and compliance with other conditions prescribed under the applicable policy.
